Reproduction main wiring harness for the Honda CB550K 1974-1975. Tired of tracking down electrical gremlins due to old broken wires or corroded connections? Or maybe you're rebuilding a 550 and it's the perfect time to replace that 35 year old wiring harness! Wires get stiff over time if they're exposed to typical varying weather conditions, they can crack, split, rust and create annoying situations or even dangerous ones.
Check behind the headlight and under the left side cover. That should quickly reveal the external condition of the wiring harness, feel the plastic connectors to see if they are brittle and flex the wires to see how stiff they are. Rather than replacing sections of the wiring harness, for piece of mind and to save from future ?? "is this the result of poor connections?" replace the whole thing. Note: One of the plastic connectors has a red coating that comes off easily. It will not affect the functionality of the harness.

Perfect Fit
I bought this to try and restore the wiring that a previous owner of my 1974 CB550 did. I was not even sure where to begin with the previous wiring, so I decided to get this main harness and tear out the mess of wires that was in the bike. Everything fit well with no problems. The only wired that I did not connect was the original Brown/Blue that went to the winker buzzer as it interfered with my head and tail lights working. Otherwise, everything else synced up perfectly and all works great.
