Good Upgrade
I purchased these shocks for my ‘81 CB900C. I’ll be honest I didn’t have high expectations but I figured “why not try them”. Well, it turns out that they provide a good ride. The rate of the spring isn’t provided, but I’d guess with the 7mm coils they are in the 90-130 lb/in range. I used about 3/4” of preload the get the correct preload, so the springs are on the light side (I weigh 160 pounds). The largest mount size they can accommodate is 14mm. The CB900C has 15mm shock mounts, so I suggest that you use a little silicone lube when installing these.
