Small size 39mm high flow tapered air filter pod set for Honda CB500, CB550, CB750 and others. Fits the CB550 without hitting the frame like other larger filters! Comes with mounting clamps. Keep in mind, for the bike to run smoothly, you may need to install larger jets and make other adjustments to match the higher air flow. The rubber mounts are flexible and can be mounted on 38mm and 40mm carburetor flanges.
IMPORTANT: Be sure to measure your carburetor prior to purchase. Also measure how much room you have between the carburetor and the frame or any side covers. Use the dimensions below to see if these will work on your bike. Just because the filters fit the carbs doesn't mean they'll fit in the bike without some obstruction.

fit and look great on my 74' CB550K
I definitely thought I was taking a chance on these because they are only like $6.25 a piece but I ended up being pleasantly surprised. These air filters look great and feel solid. I have not ran my bike with them yet but I don't see a reason why they won't work great, just keep them clean and oiled!

They fit! They fit!
Both my CB550s were built up from incomplete salvage bikes, so neither of them had a complete airbox when I got them. Rather than buy used airboxes and struggle with getting the carbs off and back on, I decided to re-jet for pods. Every pod I tried was too big to fit the #1 and #4 carbs -- I ended up cutting down a set of UNI foam pods, but they were so wide they interfered with the clutch cable and the choke function. These metal mesh pods actually fit in the space between the frame and the intakes. #1 and #4 are a bit of a struggle, but they do snap into place without distorting too badly. Oil them and they'll serve you well.
