12V Regulator rectifier for Honda single and twin cylinder models up through 1978. If your model originally came with a 6V system you'll need to convert to a 12V system to use this regulator rectifier. This part is only for single phase charging systems. It's one of the best upgrades available for the electrical system and it's easy to install! Please review the installation instructions here.

Battery not charging? Might be time to upgrade the charging system. If you're just replacing all the electrical parts on the bike, this is a great upgrade! Especially on models that only came with a rectifier originally.

Isolate the charging issue before ordering parts that way you save yourself time, money, and some hair loss! Before installing a new rectifier, make sure your alternator is putting out the proper amount of AC current and all the connections are clean and making proper contact.

Features:

  • More efficient, runs cooler and put out more consistent power than the original part(s).
  • Rated for up to 180W and will work with most any single phase, permanent magnet alternator.
  • Works with all battery types: Lead acid / AGM / lithium
  • Lithium battery compatibility: Contact the battery manufacturer to see if it needs more than 14.4DCV. If it does, this product is not compatible.
  • Includes terminals: 4 male spade terminals, 1 male plastic locking terminal, 1 ground wire with terminals attached

Dimensions:

Width: 68mm (2 3/4")
Length: 58mm (2 1/4")
Height: 24mm (1")
Mount Hole spacing: 56mm (2.2") (measured center to center)
Wire Harness Length: 8"

Fitment note: Can also be used on pre-1970 British twins (replaces rectifier and zener diode), some Kawasaki twins / H2, and Suzuki T / GT two stroke twins.

    Not bad

Posted by Dustin on 9th Jun 2023

Bought this because the price was decent and it worked with every battery. I would say it lacked in good instructions but had some. Struggled a bit because the instructions said the case did not need to be grounded. Well in my case, I did not have a reference to ground without the old rectifier bolt to frame. I used the provided ground to ground the frame and it took right off. Bike ran great. I’m hopeful this helps strengthen the electrical system. Time will tell. 4 starts just because instructions lacked. Otherwise all good

12V REGULATOR RECTIFIER - LITHIUM & LEAD ACID - SINGLE PHASE CHARGING SYSTEM

Posted by D. Macaulay on 17th Apr 2021

It seems to work, no problem so far on a 1967 CB77. Would have appreciated a spec sheet and wiring diagram.

    So far so good!

Bought this for my cb175 and converted it over to a 12v system. Nice that it came with the connectors and the ground wire already set up. Made replacement easy.

    Upgrade Honda CB450K5

Posted by Dennis Fortuin on 22nd Aug 2019

Very good upgrade for my Honda cb450k. Easy to install, en works perfect. It keeps the voltage at 13,4 volts, so that's great. Good quality for a good price. Thanks 4into1

    '72 CL175 improvement

Posted by Unknown on 18th Aug 2019

Couldn't bring myself to spend $120 on Rick's Rectifier for my bike. Came with everything I needed to get it wired up, still not getting full voltage, but that may due to other components.

    Easy install on a CB77

Posted by John on 26th Jul 2019

I was previously running all stock with the old dodgy selenium rectifier and my battery would never stay charged. I was also burning taillight bulbs out at an alarming rate. I bought this unit from 4into1 and found installation to be extremely straightforward. I did not merge the two coils as mentioned in the instructions because I wanted to see how it acted as it was originally designed going through the headlight switch. I soldered the new plug ends onto my existing harness instead of crimping. Anyways after starting her up immediately after the installation, I have a very consistent 13.4 volts at 3000 plus rpm and 13.8 with the lights on. What I like most is the consistency. It just stays at 13.8 volts and doesn't spike and flicker. I may just leave everything as is. If I still have battery issues then I may join the two coils (yellow & pink), but for now I am pleased. I haven't blown a taillight bulb since. I'm assuming that I was getting voltage spikes and it was burning the taillight bulbs. It appears to be a good quality unit at a nice price. There are units out there for $125 but this seems to work good. I just hope it lasts!
