Grey control cable set for the Honda CB175. Usually it is a good idea to replace all of the control cables if you recently purchased a vintage Honda. The riding experience can be vastly improved with fresh control cables, especially if your bike is still running the stock cables or old stiff cables. Remember to lubricate new cables prior to installation. We carry a cable lube tool and cable lubricant to make life easier.

    Cable set

Great cable set for my '70 CL175 at a great price. My only wish is that a set was also sold with the cable built=in rear brake switch.

    Brake cable too long

Posted by Unknown on 2nd Mar 2019

The brake cable is 3-4" too long. I also wrote the review about the clutch cable in the kit needing modification in order to fit. The brake cable is so long that it sticks up way above the handlebars in a loop. If you don't keep it looped up that far, the excess will be down near the wheel and will rub against the spinning tire. Very disappointing the 2 of the cables in the kit aren't built properly.

    Needed modification

Posted by Unknown on 24th Feb 2019

The cylinder on the end of the clutch cable (engine side) was too big to fit through the fitting on engine case and too big to fit to the lever arm behind the sprocket cover. I had to spend a bunch of time filing it down carefully in order for it to fit. Super quick shipping.

    Right on

Excellent product for getting an old bike back on the road. Restoring an 73 cb175, and while the old cables were functioning, it was an easy choice to get a new suite of cables for just over 30 bucks. Replaced them all, and kept the old ones for spares, in case something happens! Not likely to have to use the old ones, but hey! Definitely lube the new cables before installation!! that cable luber tool and the cable life is a good investment!
