Motion Pro master cylinder snap ring pliers. These come in really handy while rebuilding the brake master cylinder on most Honda CB's from the 70's and many other bikes. The snap ring on the master cylinder is just out of reach for most snap ring pliers. Don't waste time trying to pick out that snap ring with various other tools, get it in and out smoothly with this special tool. Always remember to wear eye protection whenever removing or installing snap rings.

It helps if you can press the piston down to release the pressure from the snap ring, then rotate the snap ring so that it's more accessible before removing it. If the piston is seized or the snap ring will not rotate once the piston is pressed, then try soaking it in penetrating oil before attempting to remove it.

  • Can be used to remove and replace small to medium internal snap rings up to 50mm (2") deep.
  • Commonly used on master cylinder, transmission gear locating, bearing retention and oil seal snap rings.

Made in the USA.

    Useless

Purchased these pliers hoping to be able to rebuild my CB750 brake master cylinder. Don’t waste your time, these are too big to fit inside the master cylinder to get at the circlip. Big disappointment.

These are great, made removing that pesky snap ring really simple. Should have bought some years ago!

    Could be better

I thought this would make putting in and taking out that tricky snap ring easier, but it make the job more complicated than it should have. The arms can't reach all the way down to even grab the ring (I just used a scribe/pick) due to the arms being too fat.The only real use was to get the snap ring compressed enough to place it inside. I used a small flat head to push it the rest of the way in. Do yourself a favor and spend your money on a different tool.
