Battery not charging? Might be time to replace your rectifier. Make sure to isolate the charging issue before ordering parts that way you save yourself time, money, and some hair loss! If you're just replacing all the electrical parts on the bike, this is a great replacement for the stock rectifier, it plugs right in with no modifications to the wiring harness. This rectifier is for motorcycles with three phase charging systems. There are 5 leads, 3AC and 2 DC. The rectifier receives AC power from the stator and converts it into DC power for the battery.
Make sure your alternator, regulator and field coil are working properly and all the connections are clean and tight; before installing a new rectifier.
It has cooling fins on it, so be sure to install it where the old rectifier was or somewhere where there's adequate air flow. The washers included act as spacers to fit this unit where the original rectifier was. The unit says regulator rectifier on it, but it is a 12V rectifier.

No issues
'75 CB400F No issues. I've driven ~1000 miles since the installation, and I keep a voltmeter onboard that I check occasionally to verify charging behavior.

Rectifier
It works, however it is wider than the original so it doesn't fit properly.

Perfect replacement.
1973 CB350F. Drop in replacement, fits, plugs in and works just like I hoped it would.
