Reproduction chrome gas cap thumb latch. This is a reproduction of the original early style latch which is no longer available from Honda. It works with Honda gas cap part number 17510-323-310, which we also have here. Some Honda's used the key type latch starting around 1976, but either latch will work. It comes with the pin, spring and clip. It does not attach like the original part (rivet type), this makes it much easier to remove rather than having to drill out a rivet.

Replaces Honda part numbers: 17517-300-340, 17550-377-315

Fits Honda:

CB200T - 1975-1976

Beautiful piece and the latch pin is better than the original as you can remove it if you need to.

    So far no problems

The system is a nice replacement for the old one with a key. Not that easy to install because of the tight spring but once it's in, it works just fine. I had no issues with breaking like others reported.

Got more uses than most folks who write reviews, but eventually the casting did shear. Do yourself a favor and buy something stronger.

Had a broken latch (rusted) - replaced with this and seems fine. Mounts up to the tank and matches the gas cap just how it should. I have opened the latch way more than 4 times - don't know what's going on with the other guys who have had breakages.

Got 4 uses out of it!

Cheap piece of cast metal. I attached the cap 4 time only to result in broken 3 pieces!
