CB750 Chrome Engine Guards
Big selling point for buying these guards was the item's listing statement: "These are similar to the stock Honda guards, except they are reinforced rather than being a single bent bar." Yes, the additional cross piece offers more protection than the standard U shaped bar Honda offered back in the day. But "reinforced?" Meh. The cross piece is made from pieces of half tubing rather than being full round stock. The looked like solid stock in the item listing but that's the fault of my computer. The welds on my set leave something to be desired in that there are several undercut tee welds i.e. welds that don't fully extend to cover the ends of the cross piece tee joints. This leaves some sharp edged tee joints and ultimately less than full strength welds. The "long threaded stud" is a section of big box hardware store style threaded rod. It would have been nice if a solid rod with threaded ends was included to match the kind of hardware that's original to the bike. Overall the guards look nice on the bike and do offer some case protection should the bike fall over or get dropped. My guess is they'll fold pretty quick if the bike is laid down with any kind of forward speed.

Hope I NEVER put to test
I really like these Case Guards. Installation was very easy and every one that has seen them wants to buy a set. I also have a Kawasaki KZ1000 that I am looking for set to fit. The price is great as well compared what a engine case parts cost.
