Battery not charging? Might be time to replace your rectifier. Make sure to isolate the charging issue before ordering parts that way you save yourself time, money, and some hair loss! If you're just replacing all the electrical parts on the bike, this is a great replacement for the stock rectifier. This rectifier is for motorcycles with single phase charging systems. There are 4 leads, 2AC and 2 DC. The rectifier receives AC power from the stator and converts it into DC power for the battery. This is a great replacement for the original selenium rectifier, these are more efficient, run cooler and put out more consistant power than the originals.
Before installing a new rectifier, make sure your alternator is putting out the proper amount of AC current and all the connections are clean and making proper contact.
It has cooling fins on it, so be sure to install it where the old rectifier was or somewhere where there's adequate air flow. It will just plug in to the stock male connector. It's easy to check under the seat to make sure the rectifier is stock and the wiring harness has the proper male connector.
We also have a version of this rectifier with a male plug.

I didn’t pay attention
I was looking for a rectifier/regulator combo but must not have paid enough attention when I bought this. I presume this product works great, but I have no way of telling. Bike ran well after installing it, but there must have been an electrical gremlin in my bike, as one of my ignition coils started getting hot and ultimately ended up smoking up. I don’t think this rectifier had anything to do with it though. I’m about to switch it to a rect/reg combo.

Fit Well on 1965 Honda CB 160
Rectifier fit good. Had to add spade connectors to the Honda pigtail connectors to hook up this unit.. Easy to do.

Dont buy the combination reg/rec
Buy this to replace burnt out rectifier on old hondas. The combo reg/rec i initially bought was hit garbage. This baby keeps my battery charged and bike running really well.
